Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the health situation in both countries and worldwide, the INCREASE-project has proposed a series of virtual workshops devoted to discussing about ongoing developments of the COVID-19 pandemic with a special focus on relevant aspects for the context of Integrated Disaster Risk Management (IDRM). The series have started with a workshop that provides a more general introduction to the health and civil protection systems in both countries – i.e., organization, infrastructures, strategies, responsibilities, management of health and vaccination against COVID-19, among others.
The third workshop "Risk Communication during the COVID-19 pandemic in Iran and Germany" seeks to meet experts from Germany and Iran to share experiences and discuss approaches around risk communication as well as experiences in both countries. The event will take place on 23 May 2022, and it aims to create a network of experts that can dialogue around ongoing pandemic developments and be a space of learning and discussion to overcome mentioned challenges.
