The first festival of indigenous and local games of international students in Iran was held on Sep 18-21, 2023 in the city of Urmia. Urmia University in West Azerbaijan Province, northwest of Iran, hosted the festival for international students studying in the country.
International students of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences participated in the Festival, and they were runner-up among more than 400 international university student athletes from all around Iran.
MUI ranks 1th in Dal Pelan in both boys' and girl's sections among five fields of indigenous games. Both the MUI girls team and boys team won the third places in Choob Keshi, and one of the female athletes of MUI won a bronze medal in Haft Sang.
