The libraries of MUI are designed to assist physicians, health professionals, students, medical researchers, and information specialists in not only finding health and scientific information to improve, update, assess, or evaluate health care, but also in increasing importance to teaching and doing research. Our libraries are attempting to preserve the record of medical knowledge and by means of mechanization provide more efficient service to physicians and scientists, but one, or a few, great libraries cannot serve the medical interests of the students.
