On Wednesday, November 20th, 2024, the first graduation event was held to celebrate the countless achievements of our international students and their accomplishments in reaching graduation. The IED celebrated the end of the academic journey for MUI international students who have graduated from MBBS, and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
Dr. Masoumi, the Vice-chancellor for Education, pointed out that medical fields are related to the health of the human beings, and he said: "Your major not only is the most responsible but also the most sensitive discipline throughout the world. We hope that you will be able to fulfill this responsibility well in your country". He also emphasized to the international graduates of the university: “This is not the end. This is just a celebration meaning you have achieved the first step. Maintain your connection with Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in your future path. Keep continuing your studies in specialty, subspecialty, and fellowship levels at MUI.”
The Director of International Education Department, Dr shiva Samsamshariat said that graduation is a significant step in the path of both your professional and ordinary life and added: "We did our best, despite of all the difficulties, to overcome the obstacles to reach our goals in IED and today, we are celebrating our achievements. None of us has reached to this level alone, and you are the scientific representatives and ambassadors of the university and of course, of the country”. She also wished success to the graduates of the international department of the MUI.
At the end of the ceremony, the international graduates read the letter of Oath. By reading the oath, they committed to adhering to medical ethics, maintaining the sanctity of the medical profession, and avoiding the violation of patients’ rights.
