MUI has 10 teaching hospitals including tertiary referral hospitals with more than 2500 beds. In addition MUI operates 23 hospitals throughout Isfahan Province. The mission of MUI's educational hospitals is to educate medical students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows in accordance with the highest professional standards, preparing clinicians to practice patient-centered medicine of the highest standard, and identifying and answering fundamental questions in the mechanisms, preventionand treatment of disease, in health care delivery and in the basic sciences.
